St. Joseph Locations

St. Joseph may have a lot of people, but it feels like a small town and it seems everyone knows everyone. There are lots of things to do, but not nearly as much as in nearby Kansas City. Still, there are options for the local folks.

    • Mexican Restaurant that is super popular in town. Family owned and run.

  • Blue Book Market

    • A small chain of supermarkets and grocery stores in town.

  • Cats and Tea

    • A nice little tea shop and cat cafe where you can adopt cats and have a nice cup of tea.

  • Chinese Buffet No. 1

    • As the name suggests, they were they first Chinese Buffet in town, and have been run by the same family ever since.

  • Cinderella's Left Shoe

    • A thrift store where they specialize in the unusual and weird stuff that most thrift stores pass up on.

  • Club Ruby

    • Situated on the outside of town, Club Ruby is a juice bar that features life, nude girls.

  • Curry Time

    • A new place in town, Curry Time brings authentic Indian food to a town without much variety other than Chinese and Mexican food.

  • Deanna's Diner

    • Owned by the now very old Deanna, this diner is simply a good place for regular, local foods.

  • Double Dragon

    • A newer Chinese place in town, this one is not a buffet and features sit-down dining and take out.

  • Dragon's Head

    • The place in town to find gaming partners, gaming books, and cards to trade.

  • Fast Freddy's

    • A little "Drive in" that features quick meals that locals love.

  • Joe Town Pawn

    • A small, family owned pawn shop, they are a good bunch of people who work with those that need help.

  • Leather and Lace Goods and Wares

    • With a wide variety of wares from boots, leather jackets, and lingerie for both men and women, as well as kink items in a special room, this store is a hot spot for the local folks.

  • Liberty Pawn and Gun

    • Sometimes considered a place to get what you need fast, this is a slightly unreputable place to buy from.

  • Lucky Clover

    • This is a bar with an Irish theme that is a favorite among locals.

  • Maxine's Bubble Tea

    • Currently, the only place in town to get boba and other types of tea drinks. They feature blended tea and iced coffee as well.

  • Mystic Wares

    • A pagan and witch store where you can buy crystals, tarot cards, and books. They often offer classes and sell tarot readings.

  • Ol' Roy's Bar

    • Run by a very grouchy older man named Roy, this bar has been a staple for many years.

  • Rainbow Club

    • A recent addition to the town, the Rainbow Club is the only gay bar in town, and underneath, features the dungeon that many people take part in secretly.

  • Sally's Cafe

    • Sally's is your average American cafe with decent midwestern fare.

  • Sam's Sandwich Shoppe

    • Named for her father, Sam's is run by Clarissa Newberry who makes some of the best sandwiches in town.

  • The Gamer's Lounge

    • Half bar, half tapcade, this is the place to get your gaming fix as well as a drink.

  • The Gray Wolf Inn

    • A popular bar and grill that stays open late.

  • The Reading Room

    • A small library/book store where you can either check out books or buy them. All books are used.

  • The River Cat

    • A seafood restaurant featuring their famous catfish.

  • Tina's Brews

    • Small coffee shop featuring a wide variety of flavors.

  • Verity's Haven

    • On the outskirts of town, Verity's is a sexual health and Wellness store that features a kink section. It also supplies stripper gear.

  • Vince's Bar and Grill

    • A great place to eat, Vince's is open early for the overnighters, and open late for the second shifters of the town.

  • Zoro's Body Shop

    • A piercing and tattoo parlor featuring some of the best artists in town.

National Chain

  • The Daily Grind

    • Regional Chain of Coffee Houses. They offer free wi-fi and have cafés inside them that offer sandwiches and pastries. Known for their smoothies and frappe.

  • Randy’s Diner

    • National chain of All-Night Diners. Generally, a decent place to eat, but honestly, no one goes to Randy’s. They end up there because no one else is open.
